My grandma (lola) came from the Mansaka tribe in the Philippines. I interviewed her in 2009 about her life, growing up with her relatives. My mom translated.

The philosophy of liberty is based on self-ownership. This simple but elegant and hard-hitting animation will explain exactly what that means. It's a great tool anyone can use to educate children and adults about our right to life, liberty, and the property we create - and our responsibility to think, speak and act. Actress.
Who is this person introducing Mr Roth? I take offense to his comment about foreigners making Hawaii their home. They are FOREIGNERS; we are NOT all Hawaiians.
This man has basically said the same thing I have been saying!
He’s actually quite wrong really if you look at the history of meritocracy in the work place it has often led to lower pay in fact statistically speaking people who aren’t in unions make less than those who are and it’s not that they make only that much more to pay union dues but in general. The only time when “meritocracy” works is when the work force is desperate for workers and/or has higher requirements. Let me tell you teachers of today aren’t taking shitty salaries because their lazy otherwise they wouldn’t take them the thing unions protect you with is not with getting employment but to maintain employment and higher quality too. When other places are paying for more with less qualifications needed it’s not the unions it’s the administration and higher ups because if they can nickel and dime you with minimal push back or support for the teachers being nickel and dimmed they’ll take it 100%. And before anyone asks about school choices it either ends up the schools fail at an alarming rate because they aren’t being supported or the poor who need it most cannot get in. Additionally to that how schools get their income is not a flat rate that is universal it’s based on the income of the district; families of the students that attend and anyone living in the area’s income
And even then Steve Jobs totally knows better than this because of the tonerheads at xerox. Everyone wants their kid and themselves an education so the demand will always be up which causes a stagnation in the fields of education because everyone will keep wanting an education even when it’s garbage it’s one of the reasons why college and healthcare cost as much as they do; they are always in demand
So what's the answer to the students left behind?
REMINDER: BILLIONAIRES ARE NOT INTELLIGENT ON ALL MATTERS So the billionaire who's kids attended elite private schools and who disavowed his 1st child altogether is offering opinions on union and teachers.
Amen
That did not age well. Now (2023), none of the auto manufacturers are making entry-level vehicles and are all trying to only sell premium priced models *and* even limiting production to keep per transaction prices elevated.
All manufacturers have budget lines.
A man wise beyond his years.
Didn't he die from trying to heal cancer with crystals and raw vegetables?
@@megakristof3855 Something like that. Death Kills Us All.
I want teachers to teach my child to become their own teacher.
Go Higa!
Imagine what he would think about the league of rainbow haired n**i’s teaching kids how to ‘tuck’ & ‘bind’
American public schools don't teach, they indoctrinate. Many run by the LGBT and Green Mafias.
A prophet.
Yeah, and we all have seen what kind of scam the charter, fly-by-night schools are. Capitalism is the problem, not the unions.
Getting Tucker Carlson vives
What? did you just compare Steve Jobs to tucker carlson?
@@Bgrk no, you’re just crazy
Unions being the enemy to higher pay makes literally no sense. Steve knew lots about a few things but was largely an idiot.
Damn, Jobs is spot on. Wish he was in education too not just in consumer electronics.
Too bad he's six feet under.
Cause yeah, apple is a 'meritocracy'. As long as you are a woke piece of crap you to can be a apple acolyte.
This has been the problem for a very very long time. Hell even when I was in school I never understood why the voucher system wasn't in place. $4400 in 1995 is about $8600 today.
Oh man..thus is the first time I saw this..Nelle???u were my teach in elementary school😭😭miss u
Your voice is actually brilliant
And Mst3k has since been uncancelled😆
Thank you Neil for educating us on this, I had no idea many of the problems Micronesians are facing were stemmed from the things you pointed out.
Would you be so kind as to share the chords for this song?! :)
This is great, do you have any more 90's Hilo videos?

I guess one of the best real estate investments in the US is built and run a jail.
Very nice
What about a plaintext form?
Awesome! I WILL be sharing this.
Brilliant. Loved the added animation. Thanks!
This is a fantastic graphic of humans striving for real liberty. It explains human rights as opposed to socialist non rights. Keep up the good work kentj1.
I came here to check if School Choice is what Steve was advocating for years ago.
This isn't about Spencer killing Jack because Jack is girl who thinks Spencer is cool
I can't figure out if this was making fun or not. Either way I thought the punchline was gonna be him getting shot at the podium. I never really caught a punchline though.
Thats an awful expression of what he would done
Great job with the visuals

Holy crap, was this guy clear-headed about issues that are still in debate 25 years later. Just wow.
The state is a spoiled child taking a fit, except now the child has a lethal weapon at his whim.
Until they remove or revise The Jones Act, there will be no change. DUH!
I wonder if there would be an opportunity for Grassroot Institute to collaborate with PragerU to do a 5 minute video on regulation, Jones Act, cost of living in Hawaiʻi due to over-regulation..?
